Information for Publishers

Choice magazine is an essential collection development resource for academic libraries. We publish nearly 7,000 reviews annually, spanning all academic disciplines. Written by teaching faculty and academic librarians, Choice reviews are generally the first professional postpublication comments on new scholarly works.

We primarily review books and electronic resources appropriate for libraries that serve students at the undergraduate level, including community college or lower-division undergraduate readership. We also selectively review graduate level materials when they have value for advanced undergraduates or honor students. Strictly professional works are excluded, as are foreign-language materials and most reprints and undergraduate texts.

For further information, including our selection policy and guidelines to submit books and electronic media for review, please visit http://www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/divs/acrl/publications/choice/infoforpub/informationpublishers.cfm.
